Co- Architect

5,000 m²
The building extends the existing faculty to the north, focused on creating flexible areas for studying and working, as well as creating a strong connection to the nature around and making the faculty highly accessible. The site enabled us to make use of the northern side of the building to create a transparent façade that extends the atrium out to a terraced garden, and focus the design on connecting the building to the nature around. The lower atrium extends out to terraced greenery to facilitate outdoor learning.
Diagonal atriums cut through the building to create a series of successive meeting points, study nooks and lounges to accommodate both faculty staff and students. These complement the more formal classrooms and labs on the south side of the building, while also making visual connections between its various parts.
A wide variety of spaces - between enclosed and open, single study or in a group - aim to encourage faculty members and students to arrive physically to the campus instead of working remotely.
